Farmcrafts are skills and items that made people self-reliant, especially during tough economic times.
These vital skills are becoming extinct. It is well past time to bring them back; more and more people are searching
for ways to become more independent. We hope to help with that here!
On this site, you will find information and
instructions on how to do more for yourself. I hope you find something useful!
As we grow our homestead in Western Washington, and I got ready for
retirement in these crazy, turbulent economic times, it is clear that what money isn't earned has to be saved. This
definitely brings to life the saying: "a penny saved is a penny earned"... how true, especially now!
So,
how does one save (earn) money?
Grow your own food
Make
your own breads, butter
Learn to preserve (can) what you grow
Don't
buy from a store what you can make with a little effort
Think of how something can be
repurposed before discarding it
Have a passion for what you are doing, & HAVE FUN
DOING IT!
We bought our farm(ette) about 4 years ago. We have grown quickly, and so has
our learning curve.
We are hoping to pass along tips and cetain things
you may not be able to learn or get anywhere else.
